Bristol Permaculture Group
The BPG has been running since April 2000 when 30 of us finished our design course at Easton Community Centre and decided we were having too much fun to stop working together.
Now a thriving group of nearly 400 members the BPG has projects all over the city. Members run community orchards, allotments, schools gardens. We also maintain the Glastobury festival permanent garden – thats our clay oven pictured above. We share resources and hold annual seed and plant swaps as well as jam making sessions and wild food forages. Skill sharing features large with many practical sessions creating a friendly social network.
A year round selection of workshops and courses includes permaculture, green woodworking, gardening and various seasonal activities from cider making to hedgelaying.
To find out what’s happening email bristol_permaculture@yahoo.co.uk to join the email group.
Meetings are rare – we prefer to get together and work or celebrate the days efforts with a pint!
