Welcome to Sarah Pugh Permaculture.
Permaculture is a holistic, common sense and simple design system that enables us to work with rather than against nature to provide for our needs. Its not rocket science but the basics of it are sadly lacking from education in most parts of the world. We can apply Permaculture to our gardens, farms, buildings, communities, energy systems and economies. It can be used to regenerate soils, forests and farmland and helps us to value and conserve the planet's resources.
It's simple ethical foundation of caring for the earth and people and sharing fairly it gives us the impetus to create productive, healthy systems.
Here in Bristol, Permaculture is synonymous with creative community action, urban food growing, skill and produce sharing, cider powered socialising and low impact living with a big emphasis on re-use of resources that would otherwise go to waste. The Bristol Permaculture Group has nearly 1,000 members many of whom have studied courses and are involved in community projects.
